On August 1st 2007 the Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) became a mandatory part of the Home Information Pack.
This is an EU directive in compliance with the Housing Act 2004 and the Home Information Pack Regulations 2007.
The EPC will tell you how energy efficient your property is and also outline recommendations that can be carried out that will improve your energy rating.
An EPC can only be carried out by an accredited Domestic Energy Assessor (DEA) or Home Inspector.
I am an independent Domestic Energy Assessor covering the following areas:
Oxfordshire, Buckinghamshire, Berkshire and Northamptonshire taking up key towns such as Oxford, Abingdon, Witney, Banbury, Royal Leamington Spa, Stratford-Upon-Avon, Coventry, Warwick, Buckingham, Towcester, Daventry, Northampton and surrounding villages Hook Norton, Chipping Norton in the Cotswolds, Kings Sutton.
I have got experience and qualifications as a test, inspection and certification professional in various fields spanning some years, including, latterly, as a qualified electrical test and inspection professional. I'm also a strong believer in people putting together their own hips packs and would advise people wanting to do so how to conduct the searches required and what to put in and what not to put in their hips pack.
